Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from October 10th through October 13th at the Battle Creek Elementary Library
This year, say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy. No checks, no cash, no cards, no paper to scan – EASY! Any funds remaining at the end of the fair will remain on the student’s eWallet for future fairs or online shopping.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Picture day happening Tuesday October 11th!!
This year we still have the capability for families to order their student(s) pictures online. Click the packet image to be re-direct to Dorians website. Type in Battle Creek Elementary and select October 11th to order yours now. If you just want to use a picture packet to order that is fine as well. If you need a flier please call the office or swing by to fill one out.
As a reminder you can order your students pictures 4 days after the 11th.
Suggest to making picture day successful for your student
- Schedule haircuts 7-10 days prior to picture day!
- wear simple clothing. Solid shirts or small patterns, along with sleeves, photographic best. A simple collared shirt is a timeless classic
- Avoid logos and text on clothing. Graphics or working may not photograph completely and can become partially cropped out of your pictures.
