Dear Battle Creek students and families,
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! Although we all wish we could be celebrating today in-person together, I am very excited to have each and every one of you with us as we start the year off in Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL).
Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure your child will have the support they need to achieve success this school year. Unlike last spring, CDL this fall will utilize a new robust learning management system called Canvas, for 3rd through 12th, and Kinder through 2nd grade will be using SeeSaw. Attendance will be taken and grades/report cards will be given to all students.
We are so thankful for the partnership with our community to support the learning of our students and we encourage you to connect with our new virtual community, HomeCoach to help you support you. HomeCoach features tutorials on learning platforms, wellness supports and more. The district will continue to add additional resources to HomeCoach to help you help our students this school year with this “one-stop-shop” resource.
